Statement

As of Today...

Each of my works marks a period of my life. A period which is marked in my work. I attempt to show the line of my march and stick to it.

In each of us there are thoughts that we consciously deny. We ignore and refuse their existance. Thoughts of machines, of objects, of bodies, of hands and their expressions.

Sometimes I must admit  calculation in the combination of the images. I  wish to someday attain a  pitiless integrity in my work. Not to admire, but to note.

In attaining these goals the process of creation is more and more alienating from one period to another. There is always the caution that the work will turn into witnesses of a flight inwards which could be dangerous but which may also bring great joy.
There is the thought that both repulsion and beauty are interwoven with fascination. That to delight sometimes you must deliver a blow, then two, then three... until you wish it will stop.

Each painting, each drawing, is a mix of cold and hot passion, striking again, striking again, making people see  what people may really be. To do this you must be stubborn and sometimes profound, and sometimes not. There is a time to disturb with a nudge and a time to dynamite.
